The European Science Foundation sponsored an Exploratory Workshop on Language & Origin: The role of language in European asylum procedures, 21-24 April 2010. Prof. dr. Pieter Muysken convened the Workshop at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIAS), bringing together an interdisciplinary group of experts from different European countries to explore LADO techniques and work towards improving them. Many people active in LADO and related areas attended, and the Language and Asylum Research Group (LARG)'s formation was announced. See the Programme.
