LARG Advisory Panel

Boraana Oromo GIS mapLARG is advised by a distinguished panel of experts with collective experience of linguistic, legal, human rights and bureaucratic dimensions of LADO and asylum. Members are based in the UK, Europe, North America & Australasia.

Members include linguistic experts with first-hand experience in LADO and related areas such as forensic linguistics, legal experts in migration and asylum law, human rights practitioners, representatives of asylum/refugee NGOs, senior government staff in LADO bureaux, academics of other disciplines with experience in asylum contexts, and LADO researchers from human rights, linguistics or other viewpoints.

Advisory Panel members serve a 3-year term. Besides their primary role - consulting with Convenors over publications, events, research and membership matters - they participate in discussion, attend expert meetings, and make their research available to the Group. The links in the left column of the table below contain profiles for all Panel members and Convenors.
