Title | Impact Academy: Using Overton for Impact |
Category | Research |
Overview | This online training session is delivered through collaborative work between the Research Impact and Eleanor Downes, from Overton. Using practical case studies drawn from real policy documents and research outputs, the session aims to enhance researchers' understanding of how to effectively use Overton to track and demonstrate the policy impact of their research. Participants will learn to navigate the platform, interpret policy citation data, and identify opportunities to strengthen the real-world influence of their work. Each case study demonstrates authentic examples of research being cited in government reports, policy briefings, and regulatory documents. These are accompanied by guided exercises and discussion prompts designed to build confidence in using Overton as both a discovery and evidence-gathering tool in a supportive learning environment. |
