TitleSafeguarding at the University - via Zoom
CategoryzProfessional practice
OverviewOur Safeguarding at the University training provides attendees with the opportunity to build upon the Safeguarding Essential Moodle module that is provided for all staff. This training session provides information on distinguishing between the legal and frequently adopted definitions of safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk and looks at relevant internal policies and guidance. We will consider what may cause someone to be vulnerable to the different types of abuse and neglect and identify the procedures and routes for escalating concerns about members of our community. Case studies will also be used to embed learning and help those attending the course see how safeguarding works in practice at our University and what their role might be. Training materials along with the Meeting ID to join this session on Zoom will be emailed to participants the day before the training session. Further information on accessing Zoom can be found online at If you have any questions about how to access this session, please email
