OverviewThis session introduces the mindset and responsibilities involved in transitioning into management, including accountability for people, performance and wellbeing. You'll explore how to set clear direction and expectations for team activities, drawing on tools such as the First 90 Days framework, and understand what's involved in monitoring performance and responding to delivery issues. You'll gain awareness of wellbeing practices and the principles of effective one-to-one communication, using approaches such as Situational Leadership and a leadership styles diagnostic, and begin to understand how managers influence team priorities and behaviours aligned to wider goals.
