TitleImpact Academy - Another Route to Policy Impact: Influencing Welsh Parliament (Senedd)
CategoryResearch
OverviewThe interface between policy and academic research can be complex and difficult to navigate. You want your research to shape Welsh policy and discourse, but maybe you’re not sure where to start. Sarah Morse, from the Welsh Parliament (Senedd) will help break this down for you. You will also hear from another academic on their experience of engaging with the Senedd, and the impact this had. This session will: Provide a brief overview of devolution in Wales; Explain the Welsh policy landscape, and how the different parts work together; Show you why you should be engaging with the Senedd, including successful examples of engagement and its impact; Help you negotiate the two worlds, and understand the opportunities to engage; Offer practical tips on how to get your research heard and noticed by policy audiences, and provide an overview of the Senedd’s Areas of Research Interest.
