| Overview | This one-day Research Writing Retreat offers an opportunity for Essex researchers to dedicate
time to focus on research writing alongside fellow academic members of staff and PGR students.
We understand it's often difficult to find time to write as a researcher, so by coming together to work on your writing we hope to provide a dedicated distraction-free space where you can be productive, whilst also benefiting from meeting and learning from your peers.
This one-day writing retreat is a shorter version of our typical three-day retreat.
We will begin by discussing how to keep writing and build accountability by asking you to share your goals for the day with colleagues.
The day will include scheduled breaks. Members of Organisational Development and the Library’s Research Support team will be leading the day and are on hand to ask any questions you may have.
This is an in-person retreat and will be held our Colchester campus.
Please note, this is not a space to have your work proofread, and content delivery is
limited to motivation to keep writing.
