Description
TitleEngagement by Design: Learner Experience Design
CategoryEducation
OverviewEnhance your course delivery and content creation skills by taking part in this transformative workshop on Learning Experience Design (LXD). Drawing from user experience design, user-centred design principles, and design thinking approaches, you'll learn how to develop learning journeys that align with your students' needs and expectations. Discover practical techniques for mapping student touchpoints, spotting obstacles, and removing friction from the learning process. By the end of the session, you'll be able to create meaningful interactions that promote deeper engagement. You'll leave with tangible strategies to help you reimagine your modules through a student-centred perspective, transforming passive content consumption into active, memorable learning experiences. This workshop is ideal for educators who want to move beyond traditional teaching methods and create engaging courses that students are eager to participate in. This workshop forms part of our Engagement by Design series, empowering academic staff to enhance their teaching materials using professional design principles and tools—no prior design experience required! If you have any additional requirements, please contact develop@essex.ac.uk so adjustments can be made.
