Summary: Hear first-hand the Government’s response to the significant issue of serious and organised crime.

The Centre for Criminology and Department of Sociology invites you to hear first-hand the Government’s response to the significant issue of  serious and organised crime by key speaker Richard Riley.

Richard Riley is presently Acting Director of Serious and Organised Crime within the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism in the Home
Office.

Richard has spent some 23 years as a Home Office civil servant including stints covering immigration, policing and counter terrorism issues; postings as Private Secretary to the Police Minister and Private Secretary to the Home Office Permanent Secretary; and two periods of secondment, including to the Metropolitan Police Service as Director of Strategy.

All are welcome to attend the lecture which will take place on Monday 10 February at 5pm in room 4S.6.28.
