23 May 2013: Tuition scholarship for MA Sociology and Management in 2013/14

The University of Essex is offering two scholarships for its MA Sociology and Management, a joint programme run between the Department of Sociology and Essex Business School, funded by the Edge Foundation, an independent education foundation, dedicated to raising the status of practical and vocational learning.

The scholarships consist of a full tuition waiver at the home / EU rate of £5,000.

During this 12-month taught programme, Edge Scholars follow a combination of mandatory and optional modules, including Sociological Research Design, Dynamics of Home and Work and Management in Organisations, and undertake an independent dissertation on research pertinent to the operation and future development of the Edge Hotel School, a joint collaboration between the Edge Foundation and the University of Essex.

Entry qualifications
A good undergraduate degree in social science related discipline that has already been awarded or, in the case of students in the final year of their degree, that is anticipated. For non-native speakers of English, either a TOEFL score of 580 or an IELTS score of 6.5 is required. Home / EU candidates only for this scheme.
