10 August 2011: Sociology post-grad wins Mildred Blaxter post-doctoral fellowship

Emma Weddell, who has recently completed a PhD in the department on shame and bulimia nervosa, has been awarded one of only two Mildred Blaxter post-doctoral fellowships funded by the Sociology of Health and Illness Foundation.

The fellowship will allow her to publish some of her PhD research. She will be located in the Department of Sociology at the University of Sussex for the one-year fellowship, with Senior Lecturer, Dr Susie Scott, as her mentor. Dr Scott completed her undergraduate degree in Sociology at Essex.
