08 November 2010: Department and ISER to host the 2011 Spring Meeting of the ISA Research Committee on Social Stratification

Deadline for submission of abstracts is approaching: 15th November 2010

We cordially invite paper submissions for the 2011 Spring Meeting of the ISA Research Committee on Social Stratification to be held at the University on 13-16 April 2011.

We would like to encourage submission of papers on all topics relevant to social stratification and mobility research, such as class inequality and mobility, education, labor market, income inequality, social exclusion, social networks, family processes, gender, ethnicity, etc. Papers relevant to the main theme of the conference: Longitudinal approaches to stratification research: International and Comparative Perspectives will be particularly welcome.

In addition to regular paper sessions, there will be a poster session, and applicants are invited to submit proposals for this session instead of or in addition to the paper sessions. Please submit your abstracts using the online submission form available at http://www.iser.essex.ac.uk/rc282011/submit_paper.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 15th November 2010.

Paper and poster submissions should consist of an abstract of 300 words maximum. The abstract should cover:

• Title
• Research questions
• Data and methods
• Preliminary results
• And be accompanied by up to three keywords chosen from a drop down list available on the form.

Please indicate whether you wish your abstract to be considered for a paper and/or poster session.
