VI6 Bursary
2020-21 entry
The University is offering a £1,000 cash bursary to support students taking part in the VI6 Project to support them in progressing into higher education.
Our bursary is available to all students who complete either a one year or two year course as part of the VI6 Project.
Eligibility
To be eligible you must meet all of the following conditions:
- Either taken part in VI6 as a year 12 or year 13 student from one of the five partner schools: Colne Community School and College, Clacton County High School, Clacton Coastal Academy, Philip Morant School and College and Thurstable School
- They must make the University of Essex their firm choice with UCAS by 19 July 2020 and enrol with us in the academic year 2020-21
- Register for your first year of study for a full-time undergraduate degree course1 at the University of Essex in 2020-21 starting in October 2020
Students who aren't eligible
The following students are not eligible for this award regardless of meeting the above criteria:
- Students on Higher/Degree apprenticeship courses
- Students with direct entry into the second year
- Students studying online distance learning courses

There is no application process; bursaries will be automatically paid if you meet the eligibility criteria, which is identified at the process of application to the University.
