How to apply

Applicants should complete The Essex Santander Access Bursary application form. This should be submitted no later than Friday 18 September 2020.

Where more applications are received than awards available, applications will be considered by a panel using the following criteria.

  • Applications with the lowest household income will be prioritised.
  • Where there are applicants with similar levels of income and a limited number of bursaries, the personal statement will be considered as part of the application process.

Payments

Payment will be made in two instalments, one in November and one in February. Students must be registered for full-time study in order to receive payment. Please note that if our records show that you are in debt to the University when an award payment is due to be made, the payment will be offset against your student account in the first instance and you will be entitled to receive any balance.
