All new Colchester undergraduates are being asked to sign up to BOOST2018, a pioneering new research project led by the University of Essex.

BOOST2018 will survey students over the next three years with tips and ideas for making the most of their opportunities at Essex.

The study is the first of its kind in the world and will provide fascinating insights on how new students adapt to their work and life at university. As a reward all participating students will receive £100 for taking part.

BOOST2018 is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and will be led by the Institute for Social and Economic Research.

This is the first-ever longitudinal study of an intake of Freshers at a British university on such a scale.

The insights will be useful to universities across the world, as well as policy makers and leading thinkers planning the best way to support students through their time in higher education.
