Sport scientists at the University's Human Performance Unit

Sport and exercise science at Essex will be celebrated at a special free event in May.

Sponsored by the University’s Human Performance Unit, ‘Sport and Exercise at Essex: Past, Present and Future’ will showcase the achievements of sport and exercise science at Essex and is open to all.

Held as part of the university’s 50th anniversary celebrations, the event will start with a series of talks from past and present Essex sport and exercise scientists, followed by a reception.

Among the speakers are Dr Gavin Sandercock, director of the Centre for Sports and Exercise Science, and Sports Performance Director Dr Dave Parry.

The event is being held at Wivenhoe House at the University’s Colchester Campus on 26 May from 6-8pm.

This event is free but registration is required by Monday 18 May.
