Bishop of Chelmsford and Bishop of Colchester

The Bishop of Chelmsford, the Rt Revd Stephen Cottrell, and the Bishop of Colchester, the Rt Revd Roger Morris, are coming to the University of Essex to take part in a special Question and Answer session on Tuesday 25 November.

Members of the University community, both staff and students, are being invited to join the discussion with Bishop Stephen and Bishop Roger which will be chaired by Registrar Bryn Morris from 12noon in the Multi-faith Chaplaincy on the Colchester Campus.

The visit coincides with the 50th anniversary of the University and the 100th anniversary of the Anglican Diocese of Chelmsford – which serves the people of Essex and East London including 460 Church of England parishes and 140 church schools in this region. Within the Diocese there are three Area Bishops including the Bishop of Colchester.

All are welcome to come along to the event which is part of a programme of events organised by the University’s Anglican Chaplain Revd Julia Murphy to offer students and staff the chance to hear thought-provoking talks and take part in discussions afterwards.
