Three legal experts from the University of Essex are part of historic international conference
The University of Essex is one of the only universities in the world to have three speakers at this week’s historic joint conference organised by the American Branch of the International Law Association (ILA) and American Society of International Law (ASIL).
Head of the School of Law Professor Noam Lubell, Director of the Human Rights Centre Lorna McGregor and Chair of the Human Rights Centre Professor Nigel Rodley are all contributing to the unprecedented ASIL Annual Meeting and ILA Biennial Conference taking place from Monday 7 April to Saturday 12 April in Washington, DC.
The event is a unique and historic gathering of the international law community and participants include senior government lawyers, practitioners, and academics from all over the world.
Lorna is Co-Chair of ASIL’s Interest Group on Transitional Justice, Professor Rodley is a member of the ILA Committee on International Human Rights Law and Professor Lubell is the Rapporteur of the International Law Association Committee on the Use of Force.
