Thousands of Essex students to get a taste of university life

Colchester Campus

More than 7,000 students from across Essex will get an insight into university life at a special event to be held at the University's Colchester Campus this month.

At the Essex Higher Education Superfair, on 25-26 June, youngsters will be able to talk to representatives from 130 higher education institutions and other organisations from all over the UK about course options and university life.

The event, organised jointly by Essex County Council Connexions, UCAS and the University of Essex, is a great opportunity for Essex students to find out more about the subjects they are considering taking at university by attending seminars on various degree courses. There will also be talks on how to apply for higher education, student life and student finance.

The event was last held on the University’s Colchester Campus in June 2007.

Caroline Dimbleby, UK and EU Recruitment Officer at the University of Essex, said: ‘This is a great opportunity for students interested in higher education to speak directly to university and college representatives, helping them make an informed choice when deciding where to study and which courses are right for them.’
