Amnesty International seminar to be held at University

Colchester Campus

More than 50 members of Amnesty International groups in Colchester, Cambridge and Norwich are expected to attend a regional seminar at the University of Essex’s Colchester Campus on Saturday 25 April.

Organised by the University of Essex student group and the local Colchester group, the conference starts at 12noon. It is open to all with a programme that includes a talk by Chris Usher, vice-chair Amnesty International UK, and Professor Richard Kotter of Northumbria University.

Sylvain Aubry, who is studying LLM International Human Rights at Essex, said: ‘This is an important event with a regional dimension for Colchester and the University, and it shows how fruitful the collaboration between students and other members of Amnesty International can be.’
