Philosophy at Essex lecturer Dr Timothy Secret will give an introductory talk before a performance of Bertolt Brecht's The Good Person of Sichuan at Colchester's Mercury Theatre on Wednesday 16 October.

The talk is part of the theatre's The Only Way is Ethics festival, which is taking place during October.

The festival combines visual and audio exhibitions with live performance, as well as talks and debates, and is curated by CP Hallam.

Dr Secret's introductory lecture begins at 6.45 pm, followed by the play itself at 7.30pm. There will also be a debate after the performance exploring issues raised by the play and chaired by BBC Essex's Dave Monk.
