Art history academic discusses art and tattoos on BBC Radio 4
Art history lecturer Dr Matt Lodder has appeared on a new BBC Radio 4 documentary exploring the practice of tattooing and its relation to art.
A Mortal Work of Art was presented by radio DJ Mary Anne Hobbs and featured alongside Dr Lodder, the artist Sandra Ann Vita Minchin, as well as Alex Binnie, proprietor of Into You Tattoo, one of the first tattoo parlours in the UK to openly fuse fine art and tattooing.
Dr Lodder is currently writing a book that will be the first academic art history text on the history of tattoo practice.
The programme was first broadcast on Tuesday 9 October and is available to listen again on BBC iPlayer.
