‘Big Data’ is the theme behind a free informal event for businesses organised by the University at Tech City in London on Wednesday 19 June 2013.

This event will also showcase what the University’s researchers can offer and how they can connect with businesses.

There will also be a special presentation about the University’s leading role in ‘Big Data’ and how they have developed innovative intelligent data search techniques for different applications.

Professor Massimo Poesio will give a presentation on ‘Text Mining’ in digital libraries and social media. He is a cognitive scientist who studies language and knowledge using a combination of computational methods and methods from linguistics, psychology and the neural sciences.
