How Cloud Computing can help your company or organisation
Could your business or organisation benefit from optimising its IT products and services, solving technical problems more efficiently or future-proofing its activities?
A free business breakfast event at firstsite in Colchester on Thursday 31 January will help companies find out more about ‘cloud computing’ and the opportunities it presents to businesses of all sizes.
ComputerWeekly.com has stated that 93 percent of financial decision makers believe that ‘cloud computing’ will be one of the most important factors for the success of their business over the next couple of years.
Researchers at the School for Computer Science and Electronic Engineering (CSEE) are at the cutting-edge of this emerging field and are already working with many companies to tackle issues they are facing and come up with innovative solutions.
Using real case studies academics from CSEE will explain how cloud computing works and the opportunities it offers business. The sessions will focus on two major applications - networks and ‘big data’.
‘Big data’ is an increasingly important issue as businesses can now access more and more information to help with planning, improving processes, analysing customer behaviour and spotting trends.
Head of CSEE, Dr Maria Fasli, said: “Our researchers have been working closely with many companies, including big telecom operators, IT equipment manufacturers, service providers, software companies and smaller companies targeting sectors of the IT field. We have some interesting and innovative solutions to present to those attending this free business breakfast.”
The free Business Breakfast is on Thursday 31 January 2013 from 7.30am to 9.00am at Musa at firstsite in Colchester.
