Fellow honour for Professor Hani Hagras

Professor Hani Hagras from the University’s School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering has been named an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Fellow.
The honour is in recognition of Professor Hagras’s pioneering contributions to the field of computational intelligence and fuzzy logic systems. His work has resulted in ground-breaking theoretical innovations and pioneering applications, both of which have had, and will continue to have, a long-lasting impact on the scientific society and the wider community.
His works have laid the foundation and resulted in revolutionary advanced intelligent computer systems that have wide deployment in real world products and in the most challenging applications.
The IEEE grade of Fellow is conferred by the IEEE Board of Directors upon a person with an outstanding and exceptional record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. An IEEE Fellow is recognised by the technical community as the most international prestigious honour in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science.
