Your views needed on local food and well-being in the East of England

Colchester Campus

People in Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk are being urged to take part in a short, online questionnaire looking at the links between food and well-being.

Officially launched by the University of Essex in November, the questionnaire is part of research funded by the East of England Co-operative and the British Academy.

Dr Zareen Bharucha and Professor Steffen Boehm of the University’s Essex Sustainability Institute are looking for people across these three counties to complete the online questionnaire. The project is part of the University’s ongoing Ecocultures programme on sustainable lifestyles and is one of the first attempts to accurately understand the links between food and people’s psychological well-being. Results of the research are expected next spring.

If you would like to give your views on buying and selling local food, please fill out the questionnaire at: www.bitly.com/food_and_wellbeing or at: www.ecocultures.org.
