Watch graduation live

This year, the University of Essex’s graduation ceremonies will once again be streamed live on the website for all to see.

A free live screening of the Graduation ceremonies will also take place for any guests without ceremony tickets, or those with young children, in the Lecture Theatre Building on campus.

The live coverage will enable friends and family of Essex students, who are unable to attend the graduation ceremonies, to join in the celebrations from anywhere in the world.

Last year, the live webcast proved to be a great success with 14,198 hits, and was even viewed as far away as Christchurch, New Zealand, some 11,742 miles from the Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall where the ceremonies take place.

More than 2,600 students will be graduating from the University of Essex this summer - the largest graduation seen at the University.

Over the nine ceremonies taking place from 17 - 21 July, eight distinguished individuals will be presented with honorary degrees, including director of four Harry Potter films, David Yates and world-record breaking polar explorer, Rosie Stancer.

A timetable of the graduation ceremonies, including the Honorary Graduands, can be found on the graduation webpage.

Alongside the live webcast, all ceremonies will be available to watch again online for a limited time after Graduation, and can be viewed from the graduation webpage.

A free live screening of the Graduation ceremonies will also take place for any guests without ceremony tickets, or those with young children, in the Lecture Theatre Building on campus.
