Dr Aaron Balick on Radio 1’s The Surgery:Sexuality Night

Dr Aaron Balick from the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies will be part of a panel of experts offering advice to listeners on Radio 1’s The Surgery: Sexuality Night on Sunday 11 March.

The special three hour show presented by Aled Haydn Jones will be dedicated to discussing and answering questions about all aspects of sexuality.

Dr Balick, who also has his own private psychotherapy practice in London, said: “We will be doing a live three hour ‘surgery’ from the University of Greenwich answering all questions about sexuality. I will be on the panel for the whole three hours in my role as The Surgery's mental health expert and I will be joined by representatives from Stonewall and other organisations representing a wide variety of sexualities from gay and lesbian to bisexuals, asexuals, transgendered and queer individuals.”

The show will be looking at all kinds of issues surrounding sexuality including emotions, affection and lifestyle. The team will also be covering issues around coming out; bisexuals who feel pressure to conform and asking whether anyone is truly 100 percent gay or straight.

This show is not exclusively for those from the Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual (LGB) world and is also not simply for straight people. It is for any young person who is curious to know more about their sexual identity.
