Colchester Campus

UPDATED:

Unfortunately Tre Azam is no longer able to attend although the event is still going ahead with a talk from Students in Free Enterprise.

Essex’s Entrepreneur Society are hosting a special event with The Apprentice star Tre Azam as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2008.

The event, sponsored by the Essex Business School and taking place on Social Enterprise Day, Thursday 20 November, will see celebrity entrepreneur Tre Azam enthuse guests with his view on the BBC hit show The Apprentice and the story to his success. This interactive session will be followed by a screening of the Acton Institute documentary The Call of the Entrepreneur, which has been flown in from the USA for the occasion.

Global Entrepreneurship Week 2008 (which runs from Monday 17 November to Friday 21 November) is the first of its kind and will be launched by Gordon Brown next week. Tara Sura, an undergraduate in the Essex Business School and member of Essex’s Entrepreneur Society, explains: ‘We are making our stamp in history by organising this event for University students, local people and businesses. As well as being this term’s highlight for Essex’s Entrepreneur Society, the evening will serve as a unique opportunity for our business guests to interact on a one-to-one basis with many students from the University.’

The event takes place in the Ivor Crewe Lecture Theatre at the Colchester Campus, starting at 6pm with a networking session. The interactive talk with Tre Azam will be at 6.45pm and the documentary shown at 7.45pm. For more information and to book a place, please contact Tara Sura on e-mail: tara@essexenterprise.com.
