Nursery provides teabag support to Hospice

The University of Essex Day Nursery is supporting Colchester based charity, St Helena Hospice, by donating thousands of teabags.

The Hospice uses over 10,000 teabags a year in its support of patients, family and friends. Over 4,000 teabags have been donated to the Day Nursery's appeal.

Elaine Dixon, Manager of the Nursery said: 'Donating teabags is an easy, but valued way of supporting a local charity. Children and parents, as well as staff and students from across the University have been contributing to the collection - just by adding an extra box of teabags to their normal weekly shopping.'

Based at the Colchester Campus, the Day Nursery has places for 120 children, aged from 6 weeks to 5 years, and is open to the public.

There is still time to make a donation. The Day Nursery will be collecting teabags until 14 May. Drop into the Nursery on the Colchester Campus to make a donation.
