Thousands to get taste of university life at Superfair

Colchester Campus

More than 7,500 students from across Essex will get an insight into university life at a special event being held at the University of Essex this month.

The Essex Higher Education Superfair on Thursday 24 June and Friday 25 June gives young people the chance to talk to representatives from 130 universities, colleges and other organisations from across the UK.

The event is organised jointly by Essex County Council Connexions, UCAS and the University of Essex and is a great opportunity for Essex students to find out more about the courses and careers they are interested in.

Visitors to the event at the University’s Colchester Campus will be able to attend a packed programme of seminars on the different degree courses available. There will also be talks on how to apply for higher education courses, student life and financing your studies.

Students will be attending from almost every school and college in Essex and the University will also be welcoming in students from Suffolk, the London boroughs and further afield.

Caroline Dimbleby, UK and EU Recruitment Officer at the University of Essex, said: ‘This is a brilliant opportunity for students interested in higher education to speak directly to university and college representatives. Coming to the Superfair will really help students make an informed choice when deciding where to study and which courses are right for them.’

Anyone who would like to attend should contact Caroline Dimbleby on 01206 873947.
