University backs Adult Learners' Week

The University of Essex is helping to highlight the huge variety of learning opportunities in the area as part of Adult Learners' Week from Saturday 15 May to Friday 21 May.

University staff will be at the Colchester Learning Shop in St Nicholas Street on Tuesday 18 May alongside colleagues from Adult Community Learning and the Colchester Institute. Visitors will be able to speak to current students and staff to find out about the different courses on offer.

The University’s Education Outreach Officer John Orchard, said: ““These events will bring together key learning providers so visitors will be able to quickly gather a wider range of information to help them decide on the right course for them.”

The University team will also be at the Community Learning Day at Christmas Island in Clacton-on-Sea on Thursday 20 May.The day is organised by Adult Community Learning and Tendring District Council. Other organisations taking part include Colchester Institute, Essex Libraries and Tendring Community Voluntary Services.
