Grow a successful social enterprise
Entrepreneur and former TV ‘dragon’ Doug Richard is hosting a special event for aspiring social and ethical entrepreneurs and small enterprises wishing to grow and develop.
Organised by the University of Essex and supported by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, the half-day event takes place at the Royal Institution in Albemarle Street, London, on Tuesday 19 January.
‘Growing a successful social enterprise’ provides an impressive panel of guest speakers and a one-hour live School for Startups interactive entrepreneurial surgery.
In addition to Essex honorary graduate Doug Richard, who featured in the first two TV series of Dragon’s Den, guest speakers are:
Uday Thakkar, Founder of Red Ochre;
Jonathan Jenkins, Director of Ventures, UnLtd;
Antony Ross, Director, Bridges Ventures;
Julie Devonshire, Chief Operating Officer, Global Ethics Ltd.
Breakout areas will be provided offering business resource information from participating social and ethical organisations, and there will be an online case study review of 12 successful or aspiring social entrepreneurs.
