Essex ranked in world top 20 for international outlook
Essex is ranked in the top 20 most international universities
Essex has been ranked in the world’s top 20 universities for its international outlook in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
Times Higher Education ranked the top 980 institutions from 79 countries, its biggest rankings to date.
Overall Essex was ranked between 301st and 350th, reinforcing its place in the top 2% of universities in the world, and 213th for its research excellence.
The ranking was based on 13 indicators, across teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
The rankings follow the publication of the QS World University Rankings earlier this month, which also confirmed the University as one of the most international in the world.
Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Aletta Norval said: “Two significant world rankings this month have confirmed that Essex truly represents the world in one place – more than 140 different countries are represented in our staff and student communities and we collaborate with international partners on research which tackles real-world challenges.”
