University offers chance to help recreate the art of the Aztecs

The University of Essex is offering an amazing opportunity to work with legendary Mexican Performance Artist, Felipe Ehrenberg.
Felipe Ehrenberg will be creating an original, site specific work during his residency here at Essex before he moves on to a symposium at Tate Modern.
Everyone is invited to come along to the University's newly renovated Lakeside Theatre and join Ehrenberg as he recreates the story of Xocoytzin, the Penultimate, better known as Moctezuma, last Emperor of the Aztecs. Explore the Aztecs struggle for ascendancy and their devastating encounter with the Spanish! This story will be brought to life with sound, smell, video, turf and of course; pineapples!
Felipe will be at the Lakeside Theatre on the following dates:
2 December ,2pm-7pm
4 December, 11am-5pm
5 December , throughout the day followed by an evening performance
