Easter fun at East 15

Loughton Campus

Young people aged between 8 and 16 years are invited to join East 15 Acting School's Easter workshops. The workshops are aimed at those interested in learning more about theatre and drama. However, they are not only about serious work and learning but also about having fun during the school holidays!

During the workshops, the children and young people will discover the magic of drama while based at the idyllic location of East 15’s Hatfields Campus in Loughton. With a tutor/pupil ratio of just 1:10, they will learn how to use their own intuition and creativity, and present themselves in the form of theatre.

East 15's Easter workshops run for two weeks from Monday 31 March to Friday 11 April. They can be booked for one or two weeks as the content of each week changes. All workshops culminate in a performance on the Friday afternoon for parents and friends to attend.

One of the UK's most innovative acting schools, East 15 has been providing professional training for those wishing to work in theatre, film, TV, radio and related fields for more than 40 years. It has a campus in Loughton, just 12 miles outside London and, in September 2000, became part of the University of Essex. Since then a strategy has been developed to expand East 15's provision to the University's new campus in Southend-on-Sea.

Alumni of East 15 include actresses Alison Steadman and Annette Badland, Coronation Street star Jenny Platt, playwright April de Angelis, former artistic director of The Bush Theatre, Mike Bradwell, and director Stephen Daldry, who was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his feature films The Hours and Billy Elliott.
