Payment of tuition fee deposits

Information for overseas postgraduate, Essex Pathways, and direct admissions undergraduate students

In accordance with University of Essex policy, you are required to pay a non-refundable tuition fee deposit before you will be assigned a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies for a Student Visa.

UK and EU students may use the online payment facility to pay tuition fees.

How much is my deposit?

Overseas Postgraduate students will see the annual fee and the minimum deposit required in their myEssex applicant portal.

Online payments

You can pay your deposit online, below, using a credit or debit card. You may make several smaller payments to the total value of the minimum deposit.

Due to the recent pandemic, the banks appear to have put further security restrictions on making payments online.

It may be because it is a large amount. Please try again making a smaller payment to see if this is successful. If not you may need to contact your bank.
