We provide a wide range of IT services to support your living and learning experience. Here is our most popular information:

IT labs

Need to use a computer? Use our open-access IT labs at Colchester (650 computers) or Southend (125 computers) campuses, plus access to printing and scanning facilities. If you need to work late, many of our labs stay open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also work socially on projects in group-study pods with IT facilities whilst you enjoy a hot drink.

Check our service status to see if there are any known problems or contact our IT Helpdesk. Our friendly and knowledgeable IT team can help you get the most out of our facilities.

Free software

Free software to download is available for all students, including Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus, Antivirus and statistical analysis software like SPSS.

Listen again

Missed a lecture or need to revise? Not to worry, you can Listen Again to your lectures using our lecture capture service.

Postgraduate support

We support professional development for doctoral students through Proficio, our University's innovative professional development scheme. We offer doctoral training courses in EndNote and Nvivo, and the internationally recognised European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) qualification.
