Celebration Event - 2022 Date TBC

This academic year we are really looking forward to inviting learners from Essex Children's University onto our campus to celebrate all their achievements over the past two years. As we weren't able to host an event last year we know this will be extra special for everyone involved.

Graduation March 2020

On Saturday 14 March 2020, we welcomed lots of eager families onto our Colchester campus. Children who take part in Essex Children's University were attending their graduation to celebrate their achievements of the programme.

We started the day with an Essex Book Festival workshop led by volunteer Juliet Greenwood and children's author and artist, Wendy Constance. We wrote positive messages, drew and decorated bunting to promote climate change as part of the Manifesto for Essex. This was then displayed at First Site in Colchester. 

At the graduation ceremony, children proudly received their certificates from author Genevieve Yusuf. Born in Colchester, Gen shared her story about how she became an author and shared one of her books that uses Spanish words to encourage learning an additional language whilst having fun. 

A big well done to Essex Children's University manager Debbie Bennett for a brilliant day!
