This is part of a double module designed for students with no knowledge of Spanish who want to reach the equivalent of an A level over the course of one academic year. This module will give you the basic structures to be able to communicate in a reasonably advanced manner both in writing and speaking. The Intensive module also includes a month in Valencia (Spain) in September after completing first year modules at Essex. In Spain students will attend Spanish classes at a language school and will live with a Spanish family.
To achieve the equivalent of an A2 at the end of the academic year and a B1 after the summer course.
- Being able to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, university and leisure.
- Development of written skills in texts on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.
- Being able to express opinions, hopes, plans for the future.
- Being able to use the language in the country where it is spoken
For example – summer language course abroad
3 classes per week for 22 weeks which include: conversation, listening and cultural approach.
