The module will consist of taught sessions to introduce key concepts, set up small group activities and demonstrations to assist practical skills instruction. Problem based learning will allow students to explore the presentations of common sporting injuries that can affect the body systems covered.
Taught sessions on human systems anatomy will be supported by application of knowledge gained using practical small group and individual work
A variety of teaching approaches will be used. Anatomical sessions will begin with short whole group lectures to introduce structure linked to function. This will be integrated with student led practical individual and small group work to explore the structure and function of the taught information. Applied examples of how this knowledge can be of value in a practical and real life context will be interwoven into these taught and student led sessions.
