This module course explores your understanding of the planning, monitoring and evaluation of Festivals, Weddings, Meetings, Conferences, and Exhibitions, all of which are an important part of the wider Events Management industry. This thriving industry is playing an increasingly important role in the economies of cities, regions and countries and will give you an underpinning knowledge for your future career.
This module aims to enable you to:
1. Evaluate the strategic planning processes applicable to events management and financial management impacts including budgets, break-even, ROI, costing, ticketing, monitoring, control and income.
- Skills needs analysis;
- Resource Management (human, physical, financial).
2. Develop a comprehensive proposal for a major event reflecting the needs of major stakeholder groups.
- Performance measurement and evaluation techniques;
- Benchmark of sponsorship of events.
3. Evaluate the risk management process specific to events and produce appropriate contingency plans.
- Describe the key legislation impacting on Event operation including:
- Health and Safety, Food Health and Safety, Licensing Legislation;
- Contingency planning;
- Risk management.
4. Deliver a professional and pragmatic proposal
- Professional presentation and layout.
At the conclusion of this module you should be able to:
1. Evaluate the strategic planning processes applicable to events management and financial management impacts including budgets, break-even, ROI, costing, ticketing, monitoring, control and income.
2. Develop a comprehensive proposal for a major event reflecting the needs of major stakeholder groups.
3. Evaluate the risk management process specific to events and produce appropriate contingency plans.
