This is a compulsory second year course for students on the BA Hons Acting programme. The module examines how changes in society are reflected in theatre.

Learning and teaching methods

Normally 2 hours of Contextual Studies lectures, seminars or tutorials per week except during acting priority weeks Students are expected to use independent study for research, class preparation and for producing/preparing assignments. Learning will be supported by appropriate screenings.
