This is a support module which provides ongoing support in English language and academic skills development to students who have been identified by either the University English Language Assessment, or your department.

The module provides support and guidance in postgraduate assignment preparation and writing, including for dissertations and resarch projects, and is intended to raise the level of your academic English and study skills.

- identify their linguistic and academic needs in relation to course requirements and to implement strategies for meeting these needs

Learning and teaching methods

You will attend a two-hour seminar-style class each week focusing on a different area of academic skills or the assignment writing process. We will use a variety of communicative teaching methods to maximise classroom discussion, debate, and active participation.
