Advanced Italian is a module designed to consolidate your knowledge by practising listening, reading and speaking skills. We will be working on advanced grammar and vocabulary to help you communicate effectively with native speakers. We will be using a good range of authentic texts such as narrative passages, newspaper articles. We will analyse a range of text types. For the spoken part, you will have a scheduled conversation class where you will be able to practice speaking skills and acquire better vocabulary.
The aim of this module is for students to reach a language proficiency level of B2 in the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).
At the end of the module you should:
Be able to use a range of tenses confidently
Be able to identify register and levels of formality
Be able to use advanced vocabulary
Be able to write correctly and precisely
Be able to use abstract language and make use of some idioms
Be able to converse without hesitation with a good delivery speed
Be able to read confidently texts at advanced level

- In-person, closed book: The exam will take place on campus under invigilation. You may not refer to any physical materials or electronic devices during the exam. There may be times when a paper dictionary,
