This is a project based module; the design encourages self-directed learning under supervision in relation to service improvements in health care settings.
The module will foster the development of abilities to consider service improvement within clinical practice.

Students studying for the undergraduate and postgraduate pathways will study this module together.
* Academic level specific 1:1 tutorials will explore teaching content and provide guidance on the completion of the assessment
* Moodle – the VLE will contain content which will direct students to reading and support activities.

* Students will complete a scrapbook portfolio focussed on a self -selected service improvement topic and gathering evidence from a wide range of sources
Learning will be self-directed, with guidance provided by virtual learning activities, and supervision by personal tutors.
The student will be able to draw on experiences from all previous placements in relation to completing the module assessment.
Learning will be supported by the University's on-line resources to which the student will have access on and off campus.
Students will be responsible for arranging 1:1 tutorials with their allocated personal tutors to enable periodic review of personal study and provide feedback on portfolio work completed.
