Learning and teaching methods

Students will complete a scrapbook portfolio, focused on examining a chosen health challenge, and using evidence gathered from a wide range of sources. Skills/IT Laboratory: Use of Moodle and online learning resources Learning will be self-directed, with guidance provided by virtual learning activities, and supervision by personal tutors. The student will be able to draw on experiences from all previous placements in relation to completing the module assessment. Students will be guided to a range of learning activities available through the University's VLE, which they will be expected to access on and off campus. Seminar groups, facilitated by personal tutors, will enable periodic review of personal study and provide peer feedback on portfolio work completed. Primarily, the module will foster the development of abilities to consider health need analysis, and the development and evaluation of health promotion strategies.
