Overview:
Continuing with the developmental approach of the programme, within this module you will draw upon knowledge, understanding and experiences gained from previous learning and placement experiences, in order to further develop your occupational therapy practice skills. This module will provide opportunities for occupational therapists and service users to share their knowledge and experiences relating to aspects of occupational therapy. The interactive nature of this module is supported by practice placements, simulation/practical skills training and small group work, tutorials and seminars which will form the basis of the learning methods within this module.
Lectures:
Occupational therapists and service users will contribute to the learning within this module in a negotiated teaching and learning style.
Independent:
Drawing on your previous module experiences, you will explore content supported by student-led small groups and individual study.
Placement:
You will draw upon experiences and learning gained on placement in order to further develop your understanding and core skills in occupational therapy.
Online:
Using a blended learning approach you will be expected to engage and contribute to online group activities and use of online library facilities. A module Moodle page will support your learning on this module. You will also be expected to explore and utilise the advances in technology within your occupational therapy practice.
Tutorials:
There will be opportunities for formative assessment tutorials.
Skills:
Throughout this module, you will draw on and extend your current knowledge and transferrable skills, in order to progress your occupational therapy identity and skills.
