Students will extend their Year Two work on acting for Radio and on microphone in order to fully understand techniques required for the profession. They will develop acting and vocal skills in radio performance, with specific reference to radio drama.
Students will extend their Year Two Screen work on acting for the screen and will have experience of audition, casting and interview situations for TV, film and commercials. Students will experience the pressures of creating a role for TV and film by performing in a Short Film and experiencing a shoot under conditions similar to those of the industry. By the end of the unit they will have an understanding of the basic problems of listening and reacting, hitting the mark, eye lines and continuity. Students will understand the need to apply units and objectives to screen acting and the perception of the actor persona on camera. Students will also be given a copy of the finished films.
Students will put learing from years 1 and 2 into practice.

- The Show Reels and Short Films are normally screened when completed to allow students to see the final finished project and a finished copy is given to each student and uploaded to the internet
