Introduction to learning resources.
Introduction to personal record of analysis and reflection.
The structures and conventions of essay writing.

The module aims to provide students with:
- a practice led understanding of the context of physical performance
- opportunities to observe and analyse physical theatre performances
- opportunities to contextualise their practical work
- written and oral skills necessary for the objective presentation of relevant information
On completion of this module the student should be able to:
- demonstrate objective analysis of what they see
- prepare a creative scene presentation to an original story or assignment brief
- work as part of an ensemble/ team-work
- present a structured argument and express ideas in class and in writing
- demonstrate critical evaluation orally and in written form
- use appropriate research effectively to prepare written and practical assignments.
